WELCOMING NEW FACULTY

The Lord has been gracious in so many ways! We are excited to welcome three new faculty members to our New College Franklin Community. Through the weeks of interviews and discussions, the Lord made the decisions very clear, and we have been delighted to add to our faculty in the following ways:

Rev. Jamie Crampton will be teaching Sacred Theology.

Mr. Crampton is a Teaching Elder at Parish Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Franklin, TN. He received his Master of Divinity degree from Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He studied at New College Franklin for his Bachelor’s Degree. Jamie has taught Latin to elementary students, assisted in NCF Cosmology in past years, and he has coached recreational gymnastics. He is married to Audrey, and they have three children and are expecting their fourth (plus he has some siblings you might know).

I am very excited to teach theology at New College because I am convinced that the knowledge of God is eternal life. I look forward to sitting at the feet of Jesus in His word and learning from His work in the church. My prayer is that we will fellowship with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and learn to live unto God.

Dr. Kimberly Keck will be teaching Music.

Dr. Keck has been teaching music and directing choral ensembles in Higher Education for twenty-five years. Most recently, she was the chair of the Worship and Performing Arts Department at Bryan College. While at Bryan, she directed the Chorale and Chamber Singers, taught Applied Voice, Vocal Pedagogy and Music Education courses. Under her direction, the choral ensembles had the opportunity to minister to audiences both in the United States and Europe.

She has had the privilege of conducting Ralph Vaughn Williams’ Dona Nobis Pacem, Vivaldi’s Gloria, Haydn’s Lord Nelson’s Mass, and Handel’s Messiah among others. Additionally, Dr. Keck was the founder of the Bryan Opera Theatre where she served as the director for nine seasons.

Kimberly earned her Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Music Education from Boston University where she did extensive research in vocal pedagogy. She holds a Master’s degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. In 2021, she completed all three levels of certification from the Lovetri Institute in Somatic Voicework.

“I am delighted to have the opportunity to teach music at New College Franklin. Having taught in Christian higher education for over twenty years, I believe that it is essential to equip students to pursue wisdom from a biblical perspective. I was drawn to NCF for this reason and am excited to work with students who are dedicated to a life of service to God.”

Mr. Elijah Lubben will be teaching Greek.

Mr. Lubben serves as an Adjunct Fellow at New College Franklin, teaching New Testament Greek.  He received his Bachelor of Science degree with a focus in Chemistry from Trevecca Nazarene University and holds a Master of Divinity with a focus in Biblical Languages from Liberty University.

Elijah loves learning and teaching just about anything, but his favorite subjects are languages, theology, and music theory. Elijah loves to read good books to his three wonderful children and play piano while singing hymns with his family.

Previously Elijah and his wife, Ashlee, served as missionaries working in Japan. Missions is still an essential part of his life, and he looks forward to working with students at New College Franklin to equip them to go into the world praising God’s glory and announcing Christ’s lordship over every square inch.

“I’m excited to work with students at New College Franklin to equip them to know, love, and apply God’s word through the study of New Testament Greek.”
